Loved LOVED this puzzle - smiled my whole way through it. Also smirked when one of the Schrodinger answers was marked as "incorrect" in the online solve, and another was marked correct. :)
Great grid - this is your *second* take on an election Schrodinger grid, I'm pretty sure! (How could I forget the clue [Negatively charged thing] for ELECT(I/R)ON !?!?!?) The funniest riff on the Jerry Farrell 1996 puzzle, though, *must* be the Francis Heaney parody for AVCX, which used an identical black square pattern but for the 2016 election. (F.H. actually one-upped J.F., adding three Schrodinger squares to 68-Across: MADAME PRESIDENT/MADMAN PRESIDENT.)
I personally am acquainted with the difficulty of making a Schrodinger grid from when Sid Sivakumar did one of these over at Slate a couple months ago: https://slate.com/life/2024/07/crossword-slate-daily-puzzle-july-19-2024.html We spent much, much longer than we should have trying to get one of the Schrodinger entries to be (R/S)OCKING!!
David,
This puzzle was absolutely magnificent!!! You are really amazing...thanks.
Thank you, Paul! Glad you enjoyed it!
I loved this puzzle! Or I should say I LOVED/HATED it!
That makes me so HAPPY/UPSET!
FWIW, “Kamala Harris” and “motherfucker” both have 12 letters. In case you wanted to do another one.
Oh man amazing
Very cool. So YOU! Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it!

Not sure if the crossword program has a Schrodinger setting. I need to email the engineers! Thank you for solving!

Just did Sid's puzzle. Nice one! Thank you for sharing! Also MADAME/MADMAN is brilliant.
And I will add my previous election Schrodinger grid above. Thank you for pointing that out!
